Manifest (noun)
A summary (printed hard copy) given to a courier of orders contained in a shipment. Shipping label A label affixed to a package showing the tracking number and receiver's address.
Packing slip
A summary (printed hard copy) included inside a package of orders it contains.
Commercial invoice
A receipt (printed hard copy) included inside a package of orders it contains. In-Store order A new order created from existing inventory.
Ad-Hoc order
A new order created without existing inventory.
Manual order
A new order processed outside of Borderless360.
Receiver
A person or organisation receiving a shipped order.
DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid)
The recipient is responsible for paying any import duties and taxes.
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)
The sender (Borderless360 on behalf of the client) covers all import duties and taxes.
Tracked
A shipping service where delivery progress can be monitored via tracking updates.
Courier Service
The third-party delivery company (e.g. DHL, USPS, Australia Post) used to fulfil the shipment.
Zone
A geographic grouping used to determine shipping costs based on destination distance.
Transit Time
The estimated number of days it takes for a parcel to be delivered once dispatched.
SLA (Service Level Agreement)
A performance standard, usually in terms of delivery time, accuracy, or customer support response.
Weight Band / Weight-Based Pricing
Rates are based on the parcelβs weight, with fixed price ranges per band (e.g., 0β0.25kg, 0.25β0.5kg, etc.).
Surcharge
An extra cost added when a shipment exceeds standard size, weight, or destination rules.
