Borderless360 uses WeChat to communicate directly with your manufacturers and other partners in China. This article explains how it works and what to expect when you connect a manufacturer to us.
The channel China actually uses
WeChat is the default way business gets done in China. If your manufacturer is based there, it's where they want to communicate — not over email, and not through a portal. By working with them on WeChat, we can coordinate your shipments with the people actually handling them, in the channel they already use, without anything getting lost in translation between platforms.
How to connect a manufacturer
- Let us know you'd like to connect your manufacturer. Reply to your client success contact and ask for our WeChat details.
- We send you a QR code by email. It points to our verified WeChat service account.
- Forward the QR code to your manufacturer. They scan it, follow our account, and send us a first message — that's how WeChat conversations begin.
- We verify and take it from there. An automated welcome message asks your manufacturer for their name, company, and the relevant order details. Once we've confirmed who they are and which of your shipments they're working on, we coordinate directly with them.

You don't need to install anything or be in the conversation yourself. Once introduced, we handle the back-and-forth with your manufacturer and keep you informed through your usual channel.
Response times
We aim to reply to your manufacturer within 1 hour, Monday to Friday. Our team is distributed globally, so coverage stretches across time zones.
